Art tonight

I had the pleasure of attending the opening of a new art exhibit by Karl Allander tonight. Here is probably my favorite piece, entitled
"Suddenly it happens". This painting is part of a three-piece series, below:
Another favorite was "Sorgesjöar" ("What Could Be"), in the window, below:
Here is another piece entitled "The Choir":
I love all the detail in Karl's work. Here's the kicker - I've known this guy for about six years, but what I didn't know is that he could paint like this. Here's hoping that this is a first of many more exhibits to come.

In other news, us culture vultures were treated to extremely delicious tunafish canapes, and I managed to extract a promise that there would be a meeting for me to take down the recipe.
