Art tonight

I had the pleasure of attending the opening of a new art exhibit by Karl Allander tonight. Here is probably my favorite piece, entitled
"Suddenly it happens". This painting is part of a three-piece series, below:
Another favorite was "Sorgesjöar" ("What Could Be"), in the window, below:
Here is another piece entitled "The Choir":
I love all the detail in Karl's work. Here's the kicker - I've known this guy for about six years, but what I didn't know is that he could paint like this. Here's hoping that this is a first of many more exhibits to come.
You can view the exhibit all through August at the Kloak gallery, in central Västerås in Sweden.
More about Karl, and more on his art at
In other news, us culture vultures were treated to extremely delicious tunafish canapes, and I managed to extract a promise that there would be a meeting for me to take down the recipe.

Have a beautiful evening, and thank you for stopping by Pieliekamais!

  1. Hey there! Thank you so much for coming to the exhibition and for your comments. I was really glad to see you both! /Karl
